Big Changes

Well, we found out we'll be moving to New Jersey next month so all my projects have to stop and I’ll be spending the next (not quite) month packing up and getting the house ready to rent out.

I’m sad and excited at the same time. This is the first house we’ve owned and it’s been fun to work on it and get it to where I love it. I just wish I had time to finish. I’m also sad for my kids, they won’t be able to see the grammies and grandpas very often like they do now.

I’m excited because the house we’re moving into is bigger and brand new (they won’t be finished building it until about October 1st so we’ll have to spend about 2 lovely weeks in a hotel of some sort) but it won’t be “mine” so no painting walls or big changes. I’m already looking at ways to change things but not really change them.

Any good thrift/consignment/antique stores in NJ?

  1. WOW! That's a big change! There's so many times I've wished I could pack up and move away. It's like an adventure, not knowing what's going to happen! :) How fun! And, re decorating a house, can't beat it! :)

  2. Hi Michelle,
wow, those are big changes. I sure hope you will love New Jersey. Don't know where you presently live but hope it is not too far from
the Grandparents. I am sure they will be sad to see you and the children go as well.
That is neat you will have a new home, when we
moved here 28 yrs. or so ago, we wound up building a house, it was the last thing we ever
thought possible, but because it was a new area and there were lots of model homes and builders in the area, you could build a new home for the same price as buying an older home, so we thought why not, you get to pick
everything and really make it your own.
So it was a fun venture. Hope you will be very
happy in your new home and neighborhood and that everyone in the family adjusts really quickly to all the changes.
    Have a good night.
    Blessings, Nellie
